1 cup of flour
½ teaspoon of salt
2 lightly beaten eggs
1 cup of milk

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, sift the flour and salt together. Add in the milk and eggs into the flour mixture. Be sure to whisk the batter constantly until it achieves a smooth consistency. Cover the mixture using plastic wrap and refrigerate it overnight.

3 pounds of small potatoes
1 tablespoon of flour
Cooking oil, for greasing baking pan
Rosemary, fresh
1 tablespoon of salt

Instructions:

Preheat the oven at 220°C. In a boiling salted water, cook potatoes until soft. Once cooked, drain the water and transfer the potatoes into a greased baking pan. Add the rosemary and a little salt to add more flavour to the potatoes. Once done with the seasoning, roast the potatoes in the oven for 20 minutes. Turn the potatoes around and cook for another 20 minutes and until they are crispy and golden brown.

Vegetable Side Dishes

Sunday Roasts also taste better with vegetable side dishes. This recipe needs the following ingredients:

1 ½ pounds of small and peeled carrots
1 ½ pounds of peeled and quartered lengthwise parsnips
1 cup of flour
Ground black pepper
Salt

Instructions:

In a large pot of salted water, put in the carrots and parsnips. In high heat, bring the pot to the boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and let the vegetables boil for another 10 minutes. Drain the water and set the vegetables aside.

If your meat is ready, season the vegetables with pepper, salt and your desired herbs and spices. You may also opt to roast broccoli, squash, sweet potato and cauliflower using this recipe.
