Love them or hate them Brussels sprouts are an iconic part of a roast. Cooked in the right way you’ll get anyone to eat them – even the kids! The easiest way to cook them is to roast them as they’ll be ready in just about 20 minutes and will be left beautifully tender. Follow the recipe below for delicious Brussels sprouts every time….
You will need;
500g Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed and yellow leaves removed
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions;
Preheat the oven to 205 degrees
Place the trimmed sprouts in a sealed plastic bag with olive oil, salt and pepper. Shake to coat
Empty the contents onto a baking tray and place in the oven for 20 minutes
Shake the tray regularly to ensure they are evenly cooked
It’s really that simple. If you want to spice up the recipe add a combination of flavours to the mix. Try adding a garlic clove and pancetta to the baking tray or once finish tossing them with balsamic vinegar and honey!
